A bodybuilder says that thinking and self-care may help you acquire muscle and strength. Holly Baxter, an international award-winning physique athlete and dietician, says taking a step back had improved her performance.
"I've learned to slow down and prioritize self-care, particularly in recent years. That sounds woo-woo scientifically "insider reported. "But stopping has made me more self-aware and body-aware."
To combat burnout, Baxter starts her day with self-reflection. Her morning ritual includes drinking coffee, reading or listening to a mindset book for 30 minutes, and writing on how to implement what she learned.
"I choose one or two things to accomplish daily to go forward," she added. "My attention and performance increase. Making time for such activities makes me feel better."
